Grading and googling hallucinated citations, as one does nowadays, and now that LLMs have been around for a while, I've discovered new horrors: hallucinated journals are now appearing in Google Scholar with dozens of citations bc so many people are citing these fake things
Interesting work shows how AI chatbots are filling a human need for connection in those moments in life when a person simply doesn't have access to human connection---the 3am wakeup, the lonely marriage, the empty nest.

Cancer is a very stressful disease, not only physically but also psychologically. A meta-analysis now shows that patients who have to endure this stress alone are more likely to die than those who have a supportive social environment.
