Sandwich tern: 2T0 - ringed on Texel, Netherlands 2015. Appears to breed in Norfolk and winter in Namibia
Sandwich tern E31. Ringed in NE Scotland 3 weeks earlier as a chick
UHF. A regular 10 year old Coquet island breeder, has been seen regularly in France. Also in Norfolk and Kent
Med gull A3KL. Ringed at a colony in Leipzig it had also been to Norfolk
Colour ring reading is really getting going here at Spurn recently with the arrival of passage Sandwich terns from their breeding colonies. Details the pictures. Current totals for the season:

Wow! A very exciting discovery by one of our wardens, Tate, during his afternoon shift today.
This Little Tern was first ringed as a chick at the Beacon Ponds colony back in 2013.
It was recaptured in Senegal last April and fitted with a green colour ring - HKL.

A productive afternoon at Sker. The Yellow wagtail at the pool showed very well with patience. Also present were 10+ White wags, a single Whinchat and 5 Wheatear
F:A01. A Hybrid Herring x Lesser at Ogmore estuary. Ringed as a LBBG chick on Flatholm in 2021, with no other sightings since
CHX. Ringed at a landfill site in Gloucestershire, itβs 17 years old and has made several visits to Portugal but seems settled now at Roath lake
L + P. A Roath lake regular, but has visited Spain on many occasions. 12 years old
F:F02. Ringed as an adult on Flatholm in 2024. 2 records from Fuerteventura in September 2024
Myself and @tudders904.bsky.social have made an effort to look for colour-ringed large gulls in the past month or so and have seen 20 birds, with quite few being first sightings. Some of the more interesting birds attached with details on the photos

A great morning birding at Alkborough flats, didnβt expect to find a drake American wigeon. Other highlights included 7 Spoonbill, 2 singing Sedge warblers and my first House Martin of the year with 46 Sand Martin and 2 Swallow @birdguides.bsky.social @lincsbirding.bsky.social
