The purpose of this Order is to ensure the CFPB operates as Congress intendedβ€” fully funded and able to ensure that consumers have access to β€œfair, transparent, and competitive” markets for consumer financial products; not subject to ever-changing Director fiat.

NEWS: Judge rules Russ Vought's plan to defund and shut down the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is arbitrary, capricious, and contrary to law.

We're honored to represent former Federal Reserve officials in support of this case.

I’m perplexed by people who say that a temporary 60-day eviction delay amounts to an eviction moratorium. Is a 14-day eviction delay an eviction moratorium? 30 days? I can understand that at some point you might cross over, but I can’t understand how that magically happens between just 30 & 60 days.

This is a deeply offensive stunt.

I stand with our Somali friends and neighbors who have been repeatedly harmed by these harmful false stereotypes and associations.

Ordered a vintage copy of a children's book version of The Emperor's New Clothes (the one with the best illustrations). Hope to do something fun with it, since it is so needed these days.

I feel like it should be more widely unpopular that in the past year we’ve witnessed the creation of an American Stasi required to meet arrest quotas who utilize an AI technology created by a company run by a sweaty raisin of a billionaire who thinks Greta Thunberg is the antichrist.

More theft.
Given to private industry, and the wealthy elites who've purchased Wyoming.
More people will die.

Every day the Butlerian Jihad sounds better and better. [Note to weird snooping agents: look up what the Butlerian Jihad is before freaking out about the word jihad.]

Let's all vow to remember the recent analysis: 10% of the interstate system mileage is within cities, but cost 50% of the initial build money. They could have built the equivalent of 36 Paris Metro systems with the same amount.

A reminder that the plant sale catalog goes to the printer on Mon., March 16, and will be posted to our website on Weds., March 18. It should go into USPS mail by about a week from Mon. (March 23), and depending on how that goes… arrive maybe later that week.

Bill writes the I-94 frontage roads "are people’s front yards, vital connections for 1000s. Rondo Ave is literally one..., and at the very least, any Rethinking 94 outcome needs to dramatically improve these spaces." But MnDOT says project $ will NOT pay for that, because those are city streets.

After a decade, it's clear MnDOT didn't 'rethink' Interstate 94 Almost every alternative would cost $2 billion just to rebuild Interstate 94 with little functional improvement after years of talk.

As usual, Bill asks the needed question: "Why bother with 10 years of ambitious drama when the results were straight out of the freeway expansion handbook?"

Graphic with a faded image of mangled vehicles after a car collision. The main text is a quote that says β€œspeed wasn’t a factor.β€œ The tagline at the bottom says speed is always a factor. The ad is from the Urban Truth Collective.

When it comes to the likelihood of car crashes, or the deadly consequences of car crashes, speed is ALWAYS a factor. #UrbanTruth

WIRED named the DOGE operative accused here of planning to take Social Security data to his new job. It's John Solly, and he works for the government contractor Leidos, a company that has millions in contracts with SSA.

The People Who Shun Super-Popular Pop Culture β€œThe Pitt,” β€œSeverance,” β€œSinners,” you name it: For some reason, the more popular something is, the more likely I am to resist it.

"When the culture pressures people to show that they’re in the know, some of us might be quicker to recoil from knowing in the first place." As a person who watches The Pitt, but has never watched White Lotus or Succession or a other shows "everyone" was talking about... some good stuff here.

This despite St Paul’s smaller size. Rent impact also higher, despite smaller total population.

Yankeedom’s people have been actively resisting Trump’s paramilitaries. MN, VT, ME targeted, probably because the regime assumed largely white, pretty rural states would back his ethnonationalist vision. They don’t.
