"I ASSUMED the US Military had an active plan to open the Strait." How can people who are paid to understand geopolitics be so bafflingly naive?

When a federal judge (finally) put ICE officers under oath, they admitted that they are given daily detention quotas and rely heavily on a Palantir-supplied AI tool to select targets, without warrants and without enough evidence to obtain one. They simply go into neighborhoods and round people up.
“The clear winner of this war is Putin”
Must be a coincidence 🙃
Search-and-rescue crews were “flying blind” trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week.
Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA’s $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool.
But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities.
HOLY SHIT.
A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election.
Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?

Good luck!
If I could go back, I'd also bring my air particle monitor out of curiosity.
The Aranet4 gave me solid proof the air was ok. Windows didn't open in this hospital. Female doctors are more empathetic. I also brought chocolate for the staff to know they were appreciated.
Yes, wore an N95 for 3 days minus eating time. My CC anaesthesiologist put my N95 back on after surgery. Riskiest time was in the Recovery Room w/20-30 ppl. Air was stale. My Aranet4 CO2 monitor confirmed when air was good. My chart had instructions to mask when in my room. 2 men didn't mask.
N95s totally work. I avoided Covid after being in the ER for 4 hours during Omicron's first appearance, on flights, at work with known exposures, at parties with sick kids, during a hospital stay, sick person facing me for an hour, grocery shopping with sick kids around, etc.
Can't believe that we're living in the timeline where it has to be explained that repeatedly getting sick can actually bad for you 😓

Take precautions! 😷💉
In the Bay Area it seems many are still sick. Some folks masking and retail stores are keeping the doors open for the best ventilation. Typical HVACs are not enough.
Recently attended a party with 25 ppl. At least 2 kids had wet coughs.
'Our findings redefine SARS2 infection a condition of long-lasting immune compromise. ScienceDirect International Journal of Infectious Diseases Volume 163, February 2026, 108287 Persistent attenuation of lymphocyte subsets after mass SARS-CoV-2 infection Results During mass infection, T cells, CD4+T cells, CD8+T cells, NK cells, and B cells dropped significantly. Even 20 months post-infection, CD8+ T cells remained 9.9% below baseline. Baseline lymphocyte subsets differed significantly by sex and age. Immune recovery varied by age and sex, with older adults and males showing prolonged lymphopenia. In cardiovascular disease patients, T lymphocytes remained 72.9% below baseline for 20 months post-infection. Conclusion Our findings redefine SARS-CoV-2 infection as a condition of long-lasting immune compromise. The sustained subnormal
🚨 Major new #COVID study finding:
20 months post-infection, in CVD pts, T lymphocytes remained 72.9% below baseline.
Insane: persistent ~73% drop in immune fighting capacity, including vs cancer. 😢

Bonnie Henry consistently wrong about SARS-CoV-2 and viruses being over. She never looks at the data.
Prolonged nature of Long Covid - since 2020 ✔️

Ask them if they have gotten an immune panel. It would show their levels of white blood cells.
Lack of an immune response may also indicate other types of infections are more severe.
Who ever became immune from flu and colds before Covid? I don't know anyone.
Study would have been more interesting if it reported number of total Covid infections.
The negative values are in predominantly GOP states? Also in line with education levels.
I've been to Taiwan twice for scientific conferences. The sea of scooters is definitely a thing. They used to spew toxic fumes & have loud, two-stroke engines. Now the government is paying folks to switch to clean, quiet, battery swapping EVs. With big impacts! 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 electrek.co/2026/02/22/t...
Article doesn't address total cost of ownership that includes insurance, purchase price, maintenance. Only talks about gas vs electricity. Oh well.
Imagine if HEALTHCARE WAS FREE in America, as it is in Greenland. Just imagine. 🇺🇸🇬🇱
The Boston Sunday Globe did a good article covering Long Covid but for some reason, it's the only article in the entire paper I can't share. So for the first time, I took screenshots and am sharing them here.

973 measles cases in SC, and it's an undercount.
Here's Oregon's statewide COVID wastewater data. The line? People testing. It cratered to the ground even as its still being detected in the wastewater.
Thinking this is all done and over is lying to oneself. It's still a problem & it's impacting fetuses, elderly, & the vulnerable.
