Luka and Edwards are both gonna try so hard to go for 84 in the late game.
83 points is a lot of points.
Tatum has unsurprisingly been extremely jumper-happy since coming back. Iβll be very interested in if/when he trusts himself to start going to the basket more.
Letβs throw Jaylen Brown out of the game because we missed a call. Makes a lot of sense.
6 shots in 5 minutes! His career high in a game is 12.
He's right.
(He doesn't need to worry about the minutes issue for the All-Dubin Team, though, and he will definitely be making that this year.)
What Kawhi just did to shake OG Anunoby off the dribble is illegal in at least 23 states.
Shai is a stone-cold killer, man.
The difference between how the two stars are being guarded β especially in this third quarter β is wild, and fun to watch. Denver repeatedly just blitzing SGA and getting it out of his hands. OKC repeatedly just switching even tiny guys like Wallace onto Jokic.
The split on the announcer jinx issue between play-by-play announcers (none of whom believe in it at all) and analysts (who all believe in it wholeheartedly) is always funny.
The Titans re-assembling pieces of the recent Jets and Giants feels like the kind of thing we don't necessarily need hindsight to say isn't the best idea in the world.
My "Mike Evansβ decision to leave Tampa was not about money" shirt has people asking a lot of questions already answered by my shirt.
Two minutes into NFL free agency and nobody has signed yet. What is this bullshit?
3οΈβ£ Things I Noticed on League Pass
πͺ The Cavs, an opener
β¬οΈ OG Anunoby, downhill
π Yanic Konan Niederhauser, lively
Cleveland mostly got its ass kicked by Boston but boy did the Cavs open the game with a beautifully-constructed and executed set.

Add both De'Aaron Fox and Reed Sheppard to the list.
This was a pretty classic 2000s Knicks-esque fake comeback. Just enough to not really make it interesting.
Alvarado is shooting like 12% since that game where he hit a million threes against the Sixers.
JJ Redick really loves making a low-value challenge early in the game. (I think it's at least in part because he knows if he loses then his guys can't keep asking for challenges all night.)
I think I need to retroactively upgrade the Extremely Scientific Trust Rating for the Celtics @modakhilnba.bsky.social
Remember early this season when Jaylen Brown was painting his hair on and it was rubbing off on opponents' jerseys? We've come a long way, baby.
Hard to believe he's doing this at 19 years old, too.
Steve's on it, of course.
That game-opening set from the Cavs for the Mobley dunk was BEAUTIFUL. Somebody clip that.
You have plenty of time before his second game to watch this video on Tatum's return to the lineup! (Especially because ESPN/ABC games tend to start an hour and 47 minutes late.)
You can't prove that he's not.

Jayson Tatum's Return Game
Things were shaky early on, especially with the jumper, but he eventually got into a rhythm and did some really nice things, especially as a rebounder and passer β and that third-quarter stretch where he got going offensively was great to see.
Honestly they should just ignore SCOTUS. Everyone is doing it and it turns out you can just say no, we wonβt be doing that.
