Last night I went to see a play in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. Despite the bitter cold, that neighborhood is always vibrant and beautiful. It’s the heart of our Somali community. Right now, a bunch of Nazis are marching through it attempting to paint it with their ugliness.

These dancers are a common sight at Minneapolis protests and cultural events. Protesters are gathered around as they wait for the protest against ICE to start in south Minneapolis.
