Saw on Weds. Everything exceeded any expectations (even including the theatre!).
Took me a long time to process afterwards - the performance and the message.
Itβs a film that definitely benefits even more from big screen, yes (genuinely looks so much better than modern CGI crap!)
I think there are old films that are timeless, for sure. But also βnewβ films that are timeless and Iβm always pleased when I stumble on one of the latter, unexpectedly!
Not saying this hotel considers fire safety as a tick box exercise, but if they hadnβt told me to leave via the βsafestβ route, I would genuinely have been stumped
The only future photos of noem - and the rest of the cabal - that we should be seeing, would all feature orange jump suits.
Yet the Trump regime wonβt even bat an eyelid and with not a shred of hypocrisy or awareness, Melania will go and do another talk somewhere about how important it is to protect βthe childrenβ of the worldβ¦
If not there, then surely no-where!
Oh Iβm sure he is serious, yes.
Overlord of all the world and welcome to take it all for himself, is how he sees himself.
(And no one is showing any signs of stopping him)
I donβt think Iβve seen any of those other films you mentioned. I do like 2001 though. Enjoyed a rewatch of it in the cinema just a couple of years ago. Still looks phenomenal on the big screen.
Every Word. And nothing will work without proper funding.
Tim Davie: βThe #BBC is a vital national asset. It powers our world-leading creative industries, drives economic growth+promotes the UK's interests
abroad. That contribution matters more than ever, yet it is at risk like never before.β 1/
Disturbingly HAL9000-like
Itβs utterly gross, isnβt it.
New post just out:
"Sovereignty for sale"
The UK is uniquely exposed to the power of US tech monopolies - from Palantir to AI and cloud services.
Why is it so dangerous? What are other countries doing? And what should we do?

Thanks. Boot full of tools and overalls meant the breakdown service didnβt take long to arrive π
Also - quite so on the pic. Proof positive of pro racing driver credentials here π
Very much so. Normal life goes on and there is nothing wrong with finding joy and fun still, even in times of adversity.
Pretty sure papers like that would normally even describe it as βthe British spiritβ (if being exercised by the other sideβ¦)
And was it a case of the bookie always wins?
Absolutely seminal and was glued to it at the time.
I rewatched it about a decade ago and still enjoyed it. I wonder how it will seem for audiences now?
Oh and it was always Annaβ¦
Private Eye
Quietly, calmly and forensically, BBC just dismantled the Trump communications shitshow on Iran.
No hyperbole, just laying out an unprecedented military, diplomatic and reputational shambles.
Worth a watch.

Handbrake mechanism had stuck on one side, but I was straight out the petrol station onto a dual carriageway, so the energy going into the brake before it showed a problem was pretty βfull sendβ in other ways π
(That pic was after Iβd blown the fire out)
Not sure what to say right now.

Well that was excitingβ¦ π₯π
Just when you thought LinkedIn posts couldnβt possibly get worse, along comes thisβ¦
Itβs so very difficult at the moment to put words out about the US government and their acts, without getting βemotionalβ shall we sayβ¦
Just utterly heinous.
Starmer is treading a very difficult line.
I wish he could be firmer & more outspoken against Trump on this, but I can understand reasons why he isnβt
We canβt have a world tho where warlords like Putin, Netanyahu, Trump wage war with impunity on whoever they donβt like
Somehow, a way must be found
Also good words*
(*assuming accurate translation, again)
Good words* - though I think itβs driven by more than just βincompetenceβ.
(*Iβm assuming the translation is accurate!)
It was two good questions.
There are no good answers (either the US or Israel killed children) and there are no teeth to hold Trumps regime to account, so he just ducked both, of course.
Trump already topped the list of βmost fake assassination attempts everβ, but because he canβt stop winning, adds more to the tally?
Also the βPresident of Peaceβ has evidently advanced from having his own domestic terror squad (ICE) to having his own personal international assassination squad?
