A graphic with a large yellow banner in the middle announcing "Live on Kickstarter! We've Always Been Here: A queer historical zine." The bottom text is in a rainbow gradient with little rainbows framing the box. Above this is a mockup of the book's cover alongside some page mockups, and the bottom half features three other illustration previews.

Sorry for quoting in English, I do understand French, but it was easier for me to find it in English. (Even though I've read Baudelaire in Russian, lol the struggles of multilingual cultural existence)
βthe Devil's hand directs our every move - / the things we loathed become the things we loveβ - Les Fleurs du Mal
Hehehehe
As someone who always loved "The Man Who Laughs" apart from all the more famous stories by Hugo, I couldn't agree more
OH YES
I will die on a hill that says romanticism was never intended to be socially conforming and emotionally sanitised. It's the other way around.
BTW the 2026 is still awful and abysmal, just to make sure everyone knows I said this and will keep on saying this.
And I'm not even going into all the depth of the societal themes, the incredible poetry this text is, the revolutionary approach to storytelling, because as important as they are, they are not my point here.
But I just really love romanticism in its true form, and I'm angry it's being erased
I mean there wouldnβt be a Rebecca or Godfly or even The Great Gatsby the way they are without Wuthering Heights
Like this novel is not only one of the keystones of romanticism but also tons of stories and a whole fucking aesthetic
In a contemporary sense of the word.
I wish people would read more and study history of literature before making claims like βwithering heights is not romanticβ
Tbh Iβm very sad that the rich aesthetic of romanticism is reduced and diluted by pop culture to what it deems βromanticβ in a very restrictive fluffy and βhealthyβ way.
And yes Wuthering Heights is peak romanticism and IS romantic as dark intense and tragic stories can be.
Itβs just not a romance
If you ever wanted to know why AI companies are trying to sell you so badly on the idea of funding their tech, there's actually an answer for that.
They're not Tech Companies. They're Multi-Level Marketing firms.
The computer equivalent of Neutralife.

I have problems with heated rivalry on many levels (Iβm a pro Ukraine queer Russian refugee so this show made now the way it was rubs me in very wrong ways that are too complex to explain) but yes, THIS.
How Jeffrey Epstein Seeded The Great Crypto Grift and The Modern Right-Wing Culture
Crypto and Bitcoin were vehicles for Epstein and his cabal of dystopian racists to make money, undermine democracy, subvert regulations, and usher forth right-wing populism.

The book outrage by Ellen jones. The subtitle is HOW TO FIGHT FOR LGBTQ+ LIVES
Absolutely incredible book by @ellenjones.bsky.social
A stark and crystal clear look at LGBTQ+ issues and struggle across many facets of society, with a lot of things we can all do and highlighting people already doing the work! Brava! ππ»
I really don't like substack for it's owners but for the sake this article - here's the link
I just stumbled upon an analysis of Wuthering Heights from queer lens, specifically implying that Catherine (and Emily BrontΓ«) might have been transmasc, and it explained a lot to me, apart from altering my brain chemistry entirely.
Holly shit.
He's trying to live through twink death in a most ridiculous fashion.
This project is SO close to halfway funded!
Letβs keep sharing to preserve our queer histories through (gorgeously illustrated) print media, to fight online erasure and censorship! β¨
I remember learning about the Hays Code in film school and how it made it so that any amoral protagonist had to meet karmic justice by the end of the film and going βwow, thatβs really sillyβ and then once a week I log online and see people argue that we need stuff like that now or itβs problematic
aaaaaAAHHHHH (screams in gay excitement!!)
There seems to be a pattern
He said opera and ballet are dead and no one needs them anymore
Timothy Chalamet just proved to be stupid. Not that Iβm very surprised about it. Not that itβs huge news.
Fully agree. DeviantArt worked in a way that curated both individual gallery spaces (your profile) and collaborative galleries (groups) based on certain themes, which was amazing for building community.
Now, art is only profitable aesthetics. Canβt believe capitalism took community out of artβ¦
My second degree in acting and theatre agrees as well.
I would add for clarity that you can obviously make suggestions about characters and their mental health, you can use psychological tools to analyse them, in your headcanons and to get a better personal vision on them, but this all doesnβt work as a real diagnosis
