Cruel, really.
Cruel, really.
The forecast still says 18ยฐ next week. How can the universe do this to me, personally, individually, exclusively???
Not me in the comments explaining that it's impossible the tomatoes she bought last week at the farmer's market are local. ๐
I feel like we should give food systems the same high school education revamp we gave personal financial literacy.
Giving myself a big ol' woo-sahhh this morning. I have been so discombobulated since I got back from NOLA and am struggling to re-combobulate. Haven't felt like this is a long time.
Gorgeous ๐ฅน
Just an anecdotal observation. Air travel in the US is fucked right now and the attendant politely asked anyone without a connection to remain seated and exit the plane last.
The only folks who listened to help their fellow passengers out were millennial and Gen Z.
This is so cool.
I'm through security. Took over an hour but everyone seemed on their best behavior and airport staff are doing an incredible job herding the cats. Hopefully today is better for everyone at MSY than yesterday.
I've got a coffee and my attitude is slowly being adjusted. โ
My last three tweets have all included the word "shit" ๐ (now four)
((I've been on a whirlwind tour of booze and intense socialization for 32 hours, genuinely feeling like a looney toon))
(((but also so happy ๐ฅน๐ฅน)))
People think I'm insane for driving between home and NOLA and then shit like this happens and validates every single one of my paranoias
Hypothetically I'm flying out of MSY in the morning, keep me in your thots and prayers, this shit is looking bleak.
I'm having a rare Great Hair Day but I know that will go to shit the moment I land in NOLA this afternoon. ๐ซ
My homegrown homemade pesto + white bean hummus/dip = creamiest most insane (and healthier) pesto sauce. This is going to be a new staple of mine.
Need to experiment with a creamy pesto lasagna situation...
I think the varieties that Row 7 cultivates are incredible and a few are on my "to grow" list. I also love the idea of reinventing tinned vegetables. But $10/tin? Who is this product for in this economy? (I know the answer, there's a reason they partner with Whole Foods)
That childhood sounds so dreamy.
I really want to make a chimichurri with it for shrimp or fish ๐คค
Have you tasted it yet?
Yay clover!!! The bees must love you. And it feels sooo nice barefoot. ๐
Yeah I figured I'm always out working in the garden anyway, if I need to prune her back I will. That's if she ever fully settles in, which doesn't seem to be happening. It's been two years now and she still looks like shit.
I grow 400+ lbs of food each year but I'm so bad with ornamentals. ๐
A lattice trellis with a scraggly looking Carolina Jessamine vine growing on it.
I am so jealous. Mine didn't bloom at all last year and though it's made it through the winter, it's still looking rough. ๐ I even fertilized it in the fall but alas. I hope I get some blooms this year.
Wild onion, crocus, and daffodils everywhere. Spring is here fr fr
A small tan dog on a teal leash with an empty road before her. The sun is out and the trees are just beginning to grow spring leaves.
Morning walk.
This bodes well!! ๐ค๐ป
Super interested to hear how the overwintered ones come through!
Clothing corporations be like "cotton blend" and the tag says 3% cotton 97% polyester
I guess technically 7B now... we were part of the updated change a couple years ago.
I've always been curious about overwintering onions but I don't see much info on it and have never been sure if I could get away with that in 7A.
Such an exciting time of year. :) These are Texas Early Grano and Red Burgundy started from seed.
red onion seedlings in a stainless steel bowl of water
white onion seedlings in a stainless steel bowl of water
a raised garden bed, freshly watered, with onion seedlings planted out
Onion planting day!
Stardew Valley is a wild place. One day you're uncovering the mayor's illicit affairs and the next day you're helping a family of raccoons on their fertility journey.
I guess my dark truth is that I'm grateful market forces are causing people in the industrialized world to have less kids.
