Continuing to chip away at the embroidery, I finished all the smaller detail pieces and one of the two large designs for the side of the skirt. Goal is to get this wearable for Magfest 2025! Time to buckle down and see how much I can do.
While I ve been working on the larger pieces I have been working on tons of hand embroidery and goldwork. This is a new skill for me and has involved tons of redoing work until I was happy with it. So far i ve made progress on 2 of the 3 medallions and the front tabard design.

Then we got the corset and a bumpad but neither are finalized/in their final form yet. Then Skirts!! Two laters of silk crepe de chine over a metallic gold white linen base. Both are double circle skirts gathered down and finished with tiny rolled hems.
First made myself some petticoats! As with most of my stuff I am balancing historical inspiration with what is needed for the costume so we got some cording and horsehair braid and a LOT of ruffles to try and help this keep its shape.
Current long term project is a gorgeous Edwardian inspired Zelda design by @fiaphy on Instagram. Its been 6 months of work, with the hope of getting it wearable for Magfest 2025!
