I'm so thankful that I get to work at a job I love & feel like I make an actual difference. One of my favorite things about my job is when I enter the unit & see the kids light up, run up to me, & shout out an excited "T!!!!"

There's a lack of safe & sober transitional housing in the state for kids who age out of tx programs.
These kids deserve so much better.

I work at an inpatient facility for teens & its the only facility in WA state that accepts court ordered kids. Most of the kids have multiple charges & are facing jail time.

But what happens to the kids when they turn 18? Some pt's don't have anywhere else to go and no one to stay with.

One of my finals for the semester is a community intervention proposal & I've been working on it all semester. The proposal is for a safe & sober living community for young women & youth in recovery, inspired by the Oxford House model. I'm calling it "Solar System Community-Based Housing"

I'm running another DBT group at work !!!

Last night at work I heard a patient say "I'm flossing with your moms coochie hair" 💀

This group went really well!!! :) my job is exhausting but the patients make it worth it

today, one of my patients came up to me and asked if I was doing okay. I told her the truth, that I'm not doing alright, and she noticed i was crying. she walked away and then came back a few minutes later with a little note she wrote for me 🥹 it was so sweet & I'm keeping it forever
