WDI can push back against some of that (Country Bears comes to mind), but ultimately it’s the execs who greenlight and budget these projects.
I think it’s more of a park management issue than a WDI issue. The Disneyland execs absolutely know and understand the history and legacy of that resort. They’ll give WDI whatever budget they need to make something that’s up to par with that legacy. WDW execs tend to be less discerning.
