Café au lait et un train Houston really is the Paris of the south
Café au lait et un train Houston really is the Paris of the south
When a ball causes the runner to walk
Keep in mind, this is not a well trafficked car street and it terminates at HCC, so removing this bike lane doesn’t benefit anyone meaningfully, it just makes every other aspect of living here worse. This was the only real connection between downtown and Hermann park (our Central Park)
Whitmire will fix it
Getting real Skype 2019 vibes from the whole starlink discourse, if they’re proven to be an unreliable partner idk why anyone would use the service vs funding a more secure competitor
Imagine having to argue with the two dumbest people you know in your third language
BREAKING: Osborn Industries has announced a relocation to Houston Texas
Measles heads HATE this one simple trick
I just hate how Texas republicans have to do this little sham game where they pretend that democrats secretly run the state government. YOU run the schools, if students are being deprived of educational opportunities it’s your fault for not providing them
MetroNext got more votes than whitmire
MetroNext was a plan and bonds to build a meaningful improvement to transit in Houston, MetroNow is a thinly veiled excuse to hoover money out of the transit system
This is just like visionzero, under Turner we had a realistic actionable plan run by experts based on data, whitmire is just a snake oils salesmen making us spend more for worse outcomes
I just dislike how the mayor hypes up his efforts but MetroNow is very clearly less ambition than MetroNext
Whitmire continues to go against the community
Damn, he really hates rural America
Dawg I just don’t know how they’re gonna balance the budget when the largest line item wants more money
Has Greg Abbott ever even visited an HISD school?
I just think it’s funny all these guys that think Rome is cool but then they hate bureaucracy
Interestingly whitmire is speaking
Who’s paying $95 to go to the official Bill King conference?
It’s incredibly frustrating that our representative acquired grant funding for west Alabama street and the city is deciding it’s not going to build any bike lanes but will use the grant money to repave the street anyway. I just don’t see how this won’t make the city look like a terrible partner
Basically redoing what’s in place, 12ft lanes 6ft sidewalks. There’s a purely spite move of an 8ft path next to the Ismaili center but it could easily be 10-12ft like it should be
They voted to send the contract out so I think it’s getting built, but it’ll be $6 million over the bonded amount so the TIRZ will have to pay for it potentially going into debt I think. It’s just the dumbest of both worlds
It’s honestly insane that every Montrose TIRZ meeting is just everyone ~10:1 speaking in favor of the old redesign plan, like the mayor must be actively trying to ignore the community
If not friend why friend shaped?
The secretary of transportation
I will always hate the mayor because there is zero reason why a 10ft wide shared use path can’t fit in here, he’s just a awful spiteful person
They really do live permanently in 2016
If you care about building a safer and more beautiful corridor to Buffalo Bayou, tomorrow is your last chance to demand the Montrose TIRZ Board vote NO on the city’s dangerous redesign of the Montrose Blvd Improvement Project. 6:30p at the Havens Center or on Zoom montrosehtx.org/meeting/febr...
Linguistically, I find the whole insistence on using the new name for the gulf funny because the English name for basically every Asian country is an exonym established several hundred years ago
