Probably needed to reign in expectations anyways. Weβre not playing as well as our record says.

It's the scene where I finally let go. First time watching it, I was holding things together, and then this happens and it was a bridge (of Khazad-dum) too far for me. I lost it.
What's a line delivery you'll never forget?
The problem isn't wages, the problem for Tottenham is that you have to tell players you're interesting in recruiting that they have to play for Tottenham. Not sure how the fix that one.

For movies you throw on because you canβt be bothered to find something new, you really canβt beat Casino Royale.
1) There's no easy game in the premier league. You cannot assume ANYTHING. Chelsea were up 2-0 to Leeds and ended up drawing 2-2, but the story will be us drawing to West Ham.
2) Until we find consistency against the bad teams, we're not going to win the title. The low block ends manager careers.
And I think he melted down because he was afraid of those games. He didn't want to face them, so he bailed.
Not gonna lie: Romero *wanted* that red card.
I'll take it!
This is clearly the chess equivalent of "get an early goal, and then sit back and ride it out."
I've been to Cobh! Lovely place!
Anyone else live in terror of this record now?
Infuriating in light of the Mbeumo no-call. I definitely feel we're held to a different standard on both sides of the ball.
While it hasn't been perfect I think you can put Sesko alongside Ekitike as the "successful" striker signings of the summer. Shockeres and Isak being the flipside of that coin.
I don't feel like this one was us turning off so much as it's been in the recent past. Fulham just always shows up against us. It was definitely unfortunate to give up the 2 goals, but I'm not sour on the players today.
Fulham and Brentford are the two teams I *never* feel comfortable against. They always seem to find a new level against us. They looked good today, but so did we, and we came out the better. Good win.
I'll give Amorim this: He put a defensive responsiblities mindset into Amad.
"It'll take 6 windows to fix this team!" Proceeds to skip 3 of them.
Ashley Young and Ashley Younger.
I'm kind of in a daze/stupor over that game. It was so good. I didn't expect the win at all. the goals were STUNNING. Real jaw droppers.
How has this happened so quickly? I'm just flabbergasted at the moment. I'm not joyous, I'm stunned. Really stunned.
Wait, this is the same Arsenal team they were saying could beat the 2008 squad?!
A video of Alex Pretti reading out the final salute of an unnamed veteran he cared for until the end of his life in the ICU, posted to Facebook by his son.
If we had hired Ole, I would 100% believe this.
But quick enough you could tell it was a poor fit. Had INEOS learned the lesson quick, and started over this summer, we wouldn't have this situation.
I don't fault INEOS for hiring Amorim. It was bold. I want them making bold decisions. They just have to be equally as bold in pulling the plug. /x
It shows me they can fail fast, but simply didn't with Ten Hag and Amorim.
Amorim was a risk, but at the time it looked worth taking. Perhaps our players could adapt. Perhaps Amorim could. I don't think anyone involved could predict Amorim would be a mental case in the way he was. /4
Where maybe they got it right was Ashworth. They hired him and within 3 months let him go. Maybe that was the wrong move, but we don't know what happened behind the scenes, and they made the call to move on quickly, rather than let a bad situation fester, if that's what Ashworth was. /3
It was clear very quickly that Amorim was a poor fit, tactically and mentally. We didn't have near enough the players for his system (quite the opposite, really) and he didn't have the mentality for a big club. He was far too accepting of "suffering," which frankly you can't do at big clubs. /3
I think the real mistakes INEOS have made have been in not failing fast enough twice, and doing so correctly once. They kept Ten Hag on when they should've fired him. They didn't fail fast there. They did the same thing with Amorim. He should've never made it to this season. /2
I'm going to give a hot take for a minute and sort of defend INEOS, because I think there's another perspective here.
In executive leadership, the concept of "fail fast" is very important. Almost everything, and everyone, fails at some point. The idea is to learn from your mistakes quickly. /1
Amorim wasn't good enough either, tho. Both can be true.
