One of the 28 Wood Warblers I’ve come across on the Quantocks so far this spring
A sleepy Nightjar perched on a step in broad daylight in our garden.
Imagine my surprise when I drew back the bedroom curtains this morning to find this nightjar perched on the steps in the back garden of our house in suburban Taunton. I managed to get a solitary photo through the window before it was disturbed & flew off.

Yellow-browed Warbler calling continuously and seen briefly in tree between start of Parkfield Walk and main entrance to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton at 8:45 this morning.
