Well, it's definitely cancer. The cat is going to lose her rear left leg. Just waiting for the vet to return on Monday and see if she can do it or if I have to take the cat back to the ER for this.

My latest pet peeve... Someone posts shock about the cost of baby formula, wonders how people can afford kids & others pile on with "breastfeeding."

For those interested in what property taxes in Florida have been doing in a not-quite-hot market (I.E., not Orlando, Tampa, Miami, etc.) This is what we've had to put up with. That's without homesteader exemption.

Working for a company w/ International employees, I need to know where people are to schedule meetings. But "where are you from" is such a fraught question given the implicit racism in it. Then I realized there was an easier way to get what I need without giving offense. "What time zone are you in?"

Well, the whole thing has certainly affected my family's vacation plans and streaming subscriptions. We're in the process of cancelling most of our stuff right now. Epic Universe isn't a bad option given that we live in Florida.

I am truly confused how I know more about bows than sales people at a sports store. Bow behind counter was a compound bow like the others. I suppose I should have used the words "standard" or "traditional" but this person probably still wouldn't have understood me.

Went to Academy Sports a bit back and asked for a youth short bow. Salesperson pointed me to rack of compound bows. No. I want regular bow, 1 string. SP pointed me to recurve. No. I want ordinary bow. SP points to different colored bow behind counter. "We have them here, look at other aisle."

Just saw a van with Destiny Prep Academy as the name and a phoenix as the logo and suddenly I want to write this magic academy story but I don't want the real DPA to get upset and sue me.

The house is in the same part of town as my true primary residence. I can't even claim it as a vacation or investment property because it's too close. It's ridiculous how careless the mortgage industry is with these things.

That's not saying people aren't committing mortgage fraud by declaring vacation homes, AirBNBs, etc. as their primary residences, but the mortgage industry itself is perpetrating this illegal behavior. My loan purchaser is trying to get me to refinance as a primary residence too.

Interesting item about the whole "mortgage fraud" business striking politicians right now. It's not just them. When I bought a house for my parents, the mortgage company tried to push me into declaring it a primary residence for better interest rate. I refused exactly bcuz I worried about legality.
