Which honestly, feels like there is a lot of capacity outside of the metro region. I can never recall a time when I ever saw 40 busy. Would be a big trade off for the small towns along the way, but maybe a way for them to capitalize too. Just streaming thoughts here....
I can see 40 becoming a much more popular way of going east and west if this comes to pass.

All we got was Caltrain electrification. Which has been amazing and a major boost for ridership! Perhaps we should do more of that, especially with freight rail...
