I think I burned the wood away over a bunsen burner in a fume hood to get to the graphite rods.

I agree! I did just last month and I haven't regretted it in the slightest.
Not sure if they're all lesser known, but my go to currently are:
* @3d6downtheline.com
* @spoutlore.bsky.social
* Actual Play on YouTube with @juddthelibrarian.bsky.social , Sean Nittner, @madjay.bsky.social, and more
All VERY different but great.
Oh goodness, I had no idea he was on here! π
Could we destroy some of the sample? Is that enough evidence? You tell me, was always his reply. Rarely had I been asked to think like that in college. I mean, I thought a lot in college, but this felt different. @hellmanmd.bsky.social
Dr. Raymond, junior year, chem undergrad. 1st day of lab asked us to prove that the metal he had was or was not copper. No instructions. At first we were kind of insulted by this "1st year" question, but then we were tripping over ourselves thinking of new ways to do it.
Absolutely. It helped me realize that even when we try our best we make mistakes and it's important to acknowledge that. And that it doesn't work if you're not sincere. An insincere apology can be worse than no apology. Also a great lesson as a parent and human in general.
Mr. Gilchrist HS Math - first time I enjoyed math in school. We started off on a bad foot because he made an assumption about me, but when he realized his mistake he made the most honest apology I ever heard. That stuck with me. Later he also introduced me to Magic: The Gathering and D&D 3e.
Didn't do sour cream, but the jam was off screen. π

Maybe today is the day I organize my sock drawer or make the world's most unimpressive ball of twine.
So NBC is interrupting the #Olympics for the Super Bowl - including 6.5 hours of pregame shows? Ugh. π€¦ββοΈ
AI slop kids book showing plumbing pipes making absolutely no sense at all. Clean water connecting directly to drain pipes. Water erupting from a kid's hand. All totally normal. *sarcasm*
My MIL got my kid this book not realizing it's AI slop. What is going on with these pipes?!? #NoAI Support #HumanArt
Alright, The Play Fearless Greatest Crits zine is live!!
Iβve been writing Play Fearless for years.
This is the part I wanted for my coffee table.

Man, this nepotism is getting out of hand.
I bought the Arden Vul PDF a couple of years ago and:
(1) Richard Barton wrote an awesome megadungeon (so detailed).
(2) @jgbrowning.bsky.social made getting the hardcover discount codes super easy!
(3) @3d6downtheline.com did an amazing actual play of Arden Vul (which is why I bought the PDFs).
@hellmanmd.bsky.social Did you see this goal? So impressive!
Nice! So many great options. I got Mt. Etna for a special geologist and latin scholar in my life. π
I just ordered one! I'm erupting with excitement!
A rough year for colds. We've had so many bugs come through. Nursery school *might* have something to do with it though. Glad you had a low key day.
