Here's this year's first big charity push, pals. I'm running the Leeds Half in May in support of @mariecurieuk.bsky.social and in memory of my lovely mum-in-law Sue, who so sadly died this month. It's an amazing charity. Throw all your spare money my way, please. www.justgiving.com/page/richard...
The science GCs say they have v the science they actually have
They’re perfectly willing to sacrifice all feminist gains in order to put trans people back in our place. Those who do genuinely hold some tenuous claim on feminism argue they’ll just have to fight to win them back, but lets face it - most of them are straight up anti-feminists anyway.
That’s not the Greens being out of touch, it’s a visual metaphor! They don’t think we’re stuck in the 50s, they’re pointing out that we aren’t!
Also, uhhh, that image with that subtitle?
“Do you feel like change is not possible?”
This is how our world looked in living memory.
Our world has changed so drastically.
We are not stuck in the 50s.
Change. Is. Possible.

We’ve said it before, we’ll keep repeating it: LGBT folk are not “propaganda” and our lives are not an “ideology.” We’re just people trying to live ordinary lives. And we deserve to thrive within homes, schools, workplaces, and communities without other people objecting to our existence. It’s basic.
Ok it's going to get hot today. If (like me) you are a Feeble, Wonky person whose body is unsuited to almost everything, but ESPECIALLY heat, here are the things I do to survive:

Yep. I basically fell to pieces in my late teens and spent my twenties trying to put myself back together, not even really realising transition was a possibility until my mid twenties. If I’d known there was hope, hand it dangled in front of me then torn away, I don’t think I would’ve coped.
“Grapple more honestly with scientific uncertainty” are they fucking joking right now? We’re not the ones asserting as unquestionable fact that demonstrable falsehoods are “just science” ffs. 🤦🏻♀️
Speaking as a human, and having seen this government’s stance on our rights, this is fucking terrifying. We wanted the Tories out because they were working their way up to this sort of filth, not because we wanted someone with a different coloured tie to do it.
Black text reading "And for my third wish I'd like a lifetime supply of Coke." Below this, there is a genie holding two crates of Pepsi captioned "Is Pepsi OK?"
I have again updated my mega-post "What's wrong with the Cass Review?" New material from the last couple of months include formal guidelines for trans youth healthcare published by professionals in Poland, and in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Both note Cass' lack of expertise and experience.
Such sweetness 🥰
I mean, speaking as a Brit I do find it a li’l weird, but I think I’d probably like the person who put it up. She just doesn’t like human decency.
data presented scarily rather than any there being any genuine reasoning going on.
Aaanyway that’s enough multi-skeet comments from me… it’s the weekend now so I’m gonna have a nice relaxed evening and unclench my jaw. 😅
reason than there should be trans *women* specifically for sex offences if their offending rates even match up with cis women? So idk, I probably should go look if he has sources that make a better argument but it always seems like this whole thing is based on knee-jerk reactions to misleading
Also, I’ll admit to not having read Coyne’s article so I don’t know what sources he cited, but the last one I saw, when you actually looked beyond the scary graphics showing how many trans prisoners are in for sexual offences, seemed to indicate that there are fewer trans *people* in prisons for any
trans people? Good grief! 😫
actually having decent safeguards in place kind of undermines this argument for why it’s so terribly important to have a definition of woman, but surely if it’s a good enough reason to be arguing about it we should actually be thinking about the issue and not just coming up with ways to single out
Speaking of correcting things… sorry, but why was it just presumed that only men & trans women need background checks? If I’m assaulted by a cis woman with a history of sexual abuse in a DV shelter am I supposed to be appeased by the fact that she wasn’t born with a penis? I mean I know the idea of
Is it just me or is there absolutely no focus there on the “specious reasoning and flawed research” in that response? Idk, maybe it’s just outside of the screenshot but surely that’s a relevant element that should be addressed?
They don't care that women are dying. They just want them to die quietly.
This is the same thing they did with the Covid rates in 2020.
If you don't test, you can't have positives to track.
If you don't do the review you can't have data on the consequences of abortion bans.
A scale from left to right Far left side: Trans Rights Activist: Trans healthcare is life saving. It should be available to anyone that needs it. Here's 10 facts you didn't know about it: 1... Oh great job guys. You know that tech oligarch who amassed obscene wealth by doing financialization? He was super left wing until he saw your post
Molly has been gathering Palestinian accounts with GFMs and many have a Kofi for daily expenses. A Pixel Fanart of Super Mario 64, featuring Mario and Bowser. Mario is doing the Backwards Long Jump on the "infinite" stairs, while the portrait of Bowser is shocked at seeing Mario go so fast. There's some text around the piece that says "Keep going, don't give up. You'll reach great things." I believe in you! You got this! Palette used is Dosatu16.
