The entire Democratic strategy debate — "moderate" or move left? fight or compromise? — is based on a misreading of data. Voters don't think Dems are too progressive; they think Dems are weak. The actual math on what to do about this isn't even close!

this seems bad. like really bad.
Screenshot of an X post by Tom Bonier stating that the “save women’s sports” crowd has been quiet since Trump mocked the U.S. women’s hockey team, suggesting they don’t genuinely care about women’s sports.
It’s never been about protecting women’s sports.
From 2020–
“Trump’s company billed the government at least $2.5 million.”

Proof that we *can* have nice things
Minnesota is in its 8th week of Paid Leave being a reality. Nearly everyone is covered. And the program has been rolled out successfully, with over 20,312 people approved for leave already

Instead, I'll be on the National Mall where we'll heave a far more truthful discussion about how this Administration is making it harder for Americans to afford their lives and feel safe in their neighborhoods.
I’ve been to Trump’s State of the Unions before and really don’t need to go again.
He uses his speeches to pillory his political enemies and spread lies – not to mention they're long and boring.
Since this will likely come up in the SOTU: Yes, US stock markets are up since Trump took office (14%).
But in the rest of the world, markets are up WAY more. Cumulative market gains are more than triple ours (43%)
Aliya Rahman, woman who was dragged out of car by ICE in Minneapolis: "I've spent the last month learning the names of the tendons in my shoulder, because both of my shoulders are torn -- cartilage and tendons. But what I haven't learned is the names of the people who did this to me."
This strikes me as a little silly. We could both tax billionaires out of existence, because they're a danger to democracy, and also generate more tax revenue from higher taxes on centi-millionaires. All of which would also improve the economy.
Glad to see some Americans are able to see how gross the patriotism looks when you have a fascist regime in office kidnapping and murdering citizens on the street, actively destroying any semblance of democracy and attacking international allies.
This one hits hard.
JD Vance personally invited Pope Leo to the U.S. 250th celebration on the 4th of July. Today the Vatican announced Leo will be spending the day with migrants instead.
if this doesn't gut you and piss you off, you have a rotten turnip where your heart should be
Still more than Chicago had at its peak. And Chicago has about 10x more people than the Twin Cities
Incredible opinion. It holds that the common ICE tactic of jumping out of an unidentified rental vehicle and seizing suspected noncitizens while masked violates the Fourth Amendment because the *manner* of the seizure is incompatible with a free society governed by the rule of law.
The ICE surge in Minnesota isn’t over — it just moved outside of the Metro.
ICE agents are still terrorizing innocent people in the suburbs. They’re targeting bus stops and hospitals and parks and being more deceptive than ever.
This isn’t over until ICE is out of the ENTIRE state.

Attorney John Hayden: “This whole campaign of just going out and finding vulnerable people, good people, people who are following rules, it's just another example of blowing the pretext of this whole operation.” (2) share.google/6jLXKUEtusHJ...
On January 10, 2026, while driving back to work after getting lunch with his father and cousin, a car quickly passed O., sped up, then stopped in front of him. (Id. ¶ 3.) A few men in civilian clothes stepped out of the car and asked for his identification. (Id.) The men threatened O.—if he did not get out of the car, they would force him out. (Id.) O. exited the car and was told he was under arrest. (Id.) The men handcuffed him and did not allow him to bring his phone. (Id.) O. felt like he was being kidnapped. (Id.) The men detained O., his father, and his cousin, taking them all to Whipple. (Id. ¶ 4.) At Whipple, there was “food scattered on the floor, the floor was sticky with mud, and everything stuck to your shoes.” (Id. ¶ 5.) The space was so cramped that sometimes there was no space to sit on the floor. (Id.)
The horror stories rolling in from Minnesota are just the tip of the iceberg. This 20-year-old, who's lawfully present in the country, was arrested for being Latino, then jailed in a filthy cell where he couldn't even sit down. 18 days of illegal detention. democracyforward.org/wp-content/u...

We showed them exactly how to stand up to bullies with strength, dignity, and peace.
But this drawdown won’t make torn apart families whole again. It won’t replenish the tens of millions of dollars small businesses lost. It won’t de-traumatize our kids. It won’t bring back Alex or Renee.
