"Weltschmerz"?
It literally translates to "world-pain" and represents a sentimental, weary, or pessimistic feeling regarding the state of the world.
Some folks will ask for anything and everything because they hope that it will be easier for the person being asked to just comply rather than check and stick to "policy".

I so want Francois Arnaud's body!
I'd like to be in shape like him too!
😝🤤
You mean because "science"??? 😲🧑🏽🔬🌃🌇🌄🌅🌌
Repost you in a singlet!
THAT is exactly the aesthetic I'm going for!
1) Because it's attainable for me. (I've always been a skinny-carry-a-bowling-ball-so-I-don't-blow-away-twiglet.)
2) It's a hot look. (Very "ScottHunter-core")
4/4 Build portfolio and practice new skills can be done while "Get Certifications" is happening.
A great example of learning towards both practical proficiency and certification is:
cloudresumechallenge.dev
(Which could be relevant for a Data Scientist to complete as well.)
3/4 I wasted SO much time chasing cold posted jobs, and this is getting worse with employer's ethically challenged use of "ghost jobs" to gauge the market and gather workforce intel WITH NO INTENT TO HIRE FOR THE POSTED JOB!
(Get out the guillotine!)
2/4 I've found LEAST success and most wasted time with: Apply for jobs (assumed to mean "cold contact / HR portal"); Write cover letters; Customize resume.
Before I apply/customize resume/write cover letter, I want to already have had a warm intro and possibly first conversation(s) with insider(s).
1/4 I've been through the dot-com, great recession, pandemic, and now post-pandemic-culling-because-bosses-want-RTO-and-have-small-penis-syndrome layoffs/employers-markets.
I've found most success prioritizing: Network; Get certifications; and secure referrals as the top three to getting more work.
Hope you're feeling better! 🤧
The look is 🔥!
Own it! 😎👍🏽

Everyone needs one!
Only the truly fortunate ever get one!
I have been blessed!
I have no expectation I will get another.
Yet, I wait in hope.

So foolish too.
Never should personal use and corporate devices ever meet.
Unless specifically granted by policy (which can be changed or overridden on a whim), there is no reasonable expectation of privacy on a corporate owned device.

Thank you! 😲🙏🏽
You don't know how much your comment means to me. I've been working on my shoulders for coming up on a year just trying to get some solid strength with flexibility and balance let alone "that look".
I struggle to put on lean mass.
I miss one meal or shake and I drop a kilo or two.
For me, I try not to be so strict and regimented in my fitness quest to have a lifestyle that acts like a straightjacket. Instead, I attempt to "wear my fitness like a comfortable old sweater"...light and easy. Giving myself grace and forgiveness yet also encouraging myself to personal betterment.
From my life experience, "A root of unhappiness is comparing ourselves to others."
Taking that one step further, when we judge ourselves against external models/standards we again plant a root of unhappiness because we might seek to be something that we might not be genetically able to achieve.
Body dysmorphia's temple IS the gym. Replete with mirrors and oodles of people who's life path we don't know, we can be tempted to judge ourselves in comparison with others, and with bias when we look in the mirror.
For me, any sense of sacrifice or obligation is for me. I sacrifice "the easy" for what I really want which takes work. I do out out of an obligation to my desire to be healthy and fit.
