This failure comes just as Israeli human rights organizations join others in finding that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

Agree with the feeling but this is elitist. Large swats of the population resent us “highly educated” because of the growing inequalities in our societies. Calling them rednecks won’t help… also appeal to authority is one of the best known logical fallacies. I suggest we stop patronising people
