"If the safeguarding principles of professional curiosity and challenge are lost to the white noise of such a zealot-like approach, we have truly lost our way." Hackney safeguarding chair Jim Gamble lambasts DfE's school behaviour ambassador Tom Bennett. chscp.org.uk/wp-content/u...
Shocking, but sadly unsurprising. @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social needs to get to grips with this bullying culture, which is fashionable in far too many schools. It's nothing short of abusive.

'The report by Sir Alan Wood...found that staff at Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy (MVPA) routinely used measures βdesigned to humiliate pupilsβ, frequently shouting at them and isolating them in corridors as part of βa harsh and damaging disciplinary cultureβ. 1/2
In 2023 Ofsted rated Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy Outstanding in all areas. This week it suddenly discovers the "inflexible" behaviour policies, which it has encouraged and praised for years, harm children - as many of us have repeatedly pointed out. This dreadful organisation needs to go. NOW.

Nice to see that Pola Negri was determined to get into character as Catherine the Great in the 1924 silent film Forbidden Paradise. In a plot centred on revolutions, rebellions & romance she turned to Women Who ruled the World: 5000 Years of Female Monarchy for source material #womenwhoruledtheworld
Two bunnies are on a stone bridge, looking down at a family of ducks floating in the water below. The ducks are about to go under the bridge. It is an early spring day, with clumps of snow still on the ground.

A bunny on a gray, rainy day looks down a storm drain, where a clown bunny with a red nose and ears looks out at him from below. It is a bunny Pennywise, from the Stephen King novel, and it offers the other bunny a red balloon through the grate on the drain
Daily bunny no.3124 offers you a balloon
Have to confess @histfest.bsky.social that I've not finished the excellent non fiction book for this month's reading group , but will try.
This is something to look forward to , as is the course on @histfest about the Plantagenets which I got my ticket for last night!
Queen Victoriaβs coronation roll, with the gold embellished copy of her oath that she signed during her coronation service. I viewed this wonderful document this evening after being invited to the unveiling of Charles IIIβs coronation roll at the National Archives #victoria #queenvictoria #crown

Having burned her 3 closest towns Boudicca realised -too late - that she hadnβt picked up Women Who Ruled the World: 5000 Years of Female Monarchy from the bookshop. Luckily, she could download the audiobook which she listened to while driving her chariot into the Roman lines. #womenwhoruledtheworld
My mother was shot by the police β and that bullet changed everything
Your book is now on my shelf waiting for me ! Looks fascinating.
A bunch of mysterious bunnies are walking in a line, carrying candles and wearing black robes. They go through a bunch of ruined columns at night, one of which has a statue of a similar hooded figure, pointing. The last bunny in the line looks as if noticing the viewer
