We’ve been calling it fascism for at least 10 years **because that’s what it’s been**.

We were trying to get you fucks to wake up and stop it before it was too late, & now you’re finally willing to acknowledge it, it’s too late.

It’s really weird understanding you have this, because it’s not that you see blanks where faces should be (which is how people envision this) but that the pattern of a face doesn’t make sense and can’t be retained. It’s super hard to explain or describe.

I see faces fine, but it takes *ages* to sort of recognise them.

I have this. I used to worry that I couldn’t identify my own son in a lineup. I do use all those other cues, and when someone shaves or changes their hair, I’m lost. I always thought that was normal until I learnt about this.

This is so painful and demoralizing, but it also reinforces something I keep saying. All they know how to do is tear good and beautiful things down. And that strategy is limited. It has an end point. We have to out endure them. And we do that by continuing to create good and beautiful things.
