An oldie but a goodie, some might say. ‘Thanksgiving’ cacti (often sold at Christmas time as a ‘Christmas cactus, but actual Christmas cacti have smooth edges!) blooms are so stunning. Mine thrives on neglect, but blooms far more with high light!

thank you! im realizing that the photos didn’t really translate an accurate idea of their health haha, it washed out some of the yellowing/browning leaves. there are definitely worse plants in my collection right now lol, but these were overdue for a chop anyway, even based just on their size

thank you! they definitely could look worse, that’s true, but they’re really outgrown the space i have them in, and their leaves are starting to crisp and curl because they’re a little neglected 😅 i gave them all a big chop to restart!

Mainly sharing these in their Ugly state because that’s the realistic side of owning 200+ plants. It’s not all aesthetic and success stories; it is also neglected and/or unwell plants. Sometimes, some of your collection is gonna be a hot mess. And that’s okay. You’ll address it when you can. 🩵

I’ll be so real — not really? I have a large watering can (holds about 1.5 gallons I think) and I’ve just gotten used to which plants tend to dry out faster than others. About a third of my plants need watered once a week, the rest are about every other week/two weeks.

I think today is the day I chop up all three of my variegated philodendrons ( a pink princess and two white princesses). They’re growing like idiots. Which it seems most climbing philodendrons do if you don’t micromanage every single leaf they put out.

Monstera ‘Thai Constellation.’ Got this stunner as a sickly one-leaf clearance plant from Kroger for $7 about six months ago. She has really popped off since then, I’m honestly so proud of her 😭🥹 I have had WAY more success with this variety vs the mon. albos
