It’s nearly midnight here in Canberra and Jana and I just arrived on behalf of ASRc. We will be at Parliament House from 7am standing with refugees and our sector to try & stop 3 catastrophic and inhumane anti - refugee and migrant bills that could hurt up to 80,000 people. We will not stand for it.

Problem is the left has been fractured. The COVID pandemic saw a lot of folks cross the aisle to embrace right-wing narratives against mitigation measures and vaccines.

The right was able to break solidarity because the left largely failed to put forward a humane vision for responding to the crisis
