FBI Director Kash Patel @FBIDirectorKash Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction — after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week. We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest. Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since, but the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public. We will have more to share soon. “DIGITAL BOOK BURNING”: This phrase captures the import of what is going on across numerous agencies. Yes, there are real, specific consequences of degraded or manipulated data in each case- but even those costly losses pale alongside the big picture consequence: rapid descent into authoritarianism.
If Linda McMahon and the Department of Education believe in "efficiency and accountability" (after laying off half of the department), then I'm sure they'll gladly publish a list of every position that has been eliminated and why that position is no longer needed.

Also, I'm not a lawyer, but I highly doubt that a memo like this is sufficient to actually declare any of these things illegal. And it seems ripe for a challenge in the courts. But there's always the risk that schools will preemptively comply.
Don’t know if anyone else read the letter and caught that it contradicts the majority opinion in SFFA, which allows discussion of racial identities in essays to be used as a factor in admissions.
