one of the simple pleasures in life is saying 'wow it looks like silent hill out there' when it's really foggy

(I'm kind of just trying to brag that my very cool and talented girlfriend wrote something incredible for me but I'm too embarrassed to post that on tumblr where she'll see it)

I've been in a concernedly bad depression spiral but drawing this inspired my gf to write horrible gut-wrenching angst about Riley and it was so fucking good and I was so flattered that it completely snapped me out of my stupor. I'm like. Fine now. So. Write angst for your loved ones, I guess?? LMAO

BPD is fun because literally any time I see anyone talk about it it's in a strictly negative light and it makes me feel like some horrible irredeemable monster<3 despite my best efforts to not be<33

drawing that's been in my head for literally six years and it didn't turn out how i wanted, but, only spent like 20 minutes on it so. shrug. maybe i'll revisit it someday.

I don't know why it turned out SO fucking blue but. Again, I spent all of One Entire Minute throwing this together and then immediately deleted it so. Shrug.

I need opinions. Does adding lighting to my animation count as cheating because I'm drawing with a restricted color pallet? I made a 60 second mock-up below. I really wanna add lighting bc I think it makes it more visually interesting but?? Is it cheating?? Am I allowed to do that??? Help?????
