Reading 17th-century poetry the other night, with friends across the globe, using 21st-century technology to share the beauty and wonder. And time stood still for a while.

The great Charlotte Bronte passed away #otd 1855, aged 38. She was pregnant, and her passing meant the end of the Bronte line. A kind yet fiery and fiercely loyal woman, a genius, there will never be another Charlotte Bronte.
