A Christmas tradition in Dundee, Scotland, home of my ancestors, was giving a gift of a herring wearing a dress! The fancier the frock the better, with many wearing crinolines or dressed as brides. Then the herring was hung above the front door for one year. This one is wearing a knitted fish suit.

Today I visited the Morris Pratt institute, first school of spiritualism in the country. The book “There is a River”, the story of Edgar Cayce is part of their library. This book was my introduction to the famous clairvoyant. The A.R.E. (Edgar Cayce Institute) still exists in VA & is going strong!

I received a signed copy of this book by Dan Aykroyd’s dad Peter. Ghostbusters was based on this true story of their family. They conducted seances in the parlor of their farm. Mediums in the family, ghosts, and many paranormal events. This well written book is a wealth of info on Spiritualism.
