Meeting adjourned at 1:33 p.m.
With that, there is a motion to adjourn. It is seconded and passed.
There are no public comments.
Alice Thompson is the Committee Chair.
The suggestion of working under Robert's Rules of Order is made. There will be training on it.
By the time I know enough to write, they've moved on to another topic which I miss completely.
I'm used to having more documentation in front of me to help with these skeets; it's much more difficult when I have to split between listening and skeeting. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
President's Report
There are currently nine board members. There should be eleven. The mayor is to appoint new members. The suggestion is made that they should focus on gaps in their expertise for new appointments. Compliance experience, media, and fundraising are mentioned.
Audit/Finance Committee report begins. Working down the deficit to about $1,000,000.
They suggest reviewing the bylaws annually. They may not need changing, but since the previous mayor signed off on them, they should be reviewed.
They want to see 100% participation in board donations. Just don't give only $1.
They're glad to see confidence from the Mayor in the people she reappointed.
Now I can hear them. Some setting in Zoom I missed.
I checked my settings! Where is the sound?
Why aren't I getting sound?
It looks like the DESC Executive Committee does not consist of the DESC leadership. Don't know if I'll know who all the members are.
