The province says there is now a fire ban on PEI.
The ban on campfires and bonfires includes fires on private property as well at provincial parks and campgrounds.
Fines can reach up to $50,000

This process will begin at approximately 5:00 PM this evening, meaning that if your power goes out, it will remain off
for approximately two hours before being restored.
This will continue until approximately 10:00 PM this evening.
The City of Summerside says due to the ongoing damage to the Maritime Electric Sherbrooke Substation:
"we will be turning off circuits across the city on a rotational basis to help manage power loads. "

For the fifth consecutive year, the region experienced temperatures which ranked into the top 10.
