My next door neighbor growing up had this exact car. Along with a variety of vintage VW bugs, one of the first "new" bugs, and a Porsche. And a pickup truck. The Porsche lived in the garage and only came out for special occasions.
As much as I hate changing the clocks, unfortunately it is the best solution we have found. Permanent standard time would have sunrise at 4:30am in the summer. Permanent DST would have dark until almost 9am in the winter.
