Macross is great! i just dig the idea of exploring a burgeoning society after the apocalypse and the trials and tribulations that come with integrating two very different groups. it's like an extended epilogue that only exists to appeal to the sickos

honestly those 9 episodes might be my favorite part too. it's what cinches Macross from being really great to something truly special imo
