You & I are much the same Sinnoh was the last time I actively tuned into the show as it aired. With B&W’s hype I did tune in for the very beginning of Unova but began to shift in my life at that time. I need to do what you did & just catch myself up/fill the gaps.

I THINK SO!!! I was racking my brain trying to think of who exactly it was & couldn’t find the actual threads so figured it was someone who left, was booted, etc from Twitter but now that you mention it I feel like this is 100% you. I remember X&Y & the S&M arcs mentioned specifically I think

I remember one of my Twitter friends rewatching the #Pokemon anime like 3 years or so ago. They were posting all about their thoughts & vibes of the arcs. If I recall they were gushing over how good the #Sun&Moon arc were. Loved seeing those posts & loved, for once, Gen 7 not in a bad light

With the #Pokemon retrospectives lately it has definitively locked Gen VII in my Top 3 next to Gens V & III. Not everything was perfect but there’s so much to love. The aesthetics, the Galapagos-esque Dex, the play on Hawaii’s history of invasion (Ultra Beasts). I adore it dude.

But I kinda miss the smaller OG joycons. I have small hands so I could grip them a lot more comfortably even tho the joycon 2’s are clearly the better overall for most people and better designed with the magnet instead of the rail.

Such fond memories. Unfortunately not pleasing a subset of fans but brand new species, brand new strategies, brand new favorites. The soft reboot wasn’t bad to us, it was exciting. The music, narrative, etc. they tried to grow the series with its then-audience. Kudos,GF. Series has struggled since.

For years I tried to root for the underdog. The 360 was SO close to breaking into the JRPG market full stop. Series seemed promising..but died like One.

He really was. He was so excited for the Switch. He’d be so happy to see how far it came. How far Xenoblade has come. The list goes on.

I remember working at GameStop when the search for him began. Constantly checking to see if he was found and ok.

The Venonat line is by far in that tier of #Pokemon that are severely underused. They’ve been OGs since the beginning yet when I see them I’m like oh right. There they are.

Same! I’ve been on a break since I beat SV but recently picked up Z-A, and also working on LeafGreen. Been great being back to the older series and with the datamine of Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald most likely coming switchward as well with 🤌🏻🤌🏻

X&Y hovers between B & A. Like I said if #Pokemon Z released as planned Z would easily be in S tier. Kalos had so, so much more potential & the Teraleak docs gutted me to see what could’ve been.

A minor thing that Gen IX removed and I wish they never did. Seeing my team’s growth has always been part of the experience for me. Seeing growth in general even on a statistical level is why I play #JRPGs / RPGs to begin with. I hope it returns in Gen X.

Well yeah it is Gen 9 for sure. It’s just a bummer Kalos was shafted so hard overall. The whole region deserved more, not just Lumiose.

This is mainly the core games in each. If Z actually happened as planned VI would easily be Top 5 but sadly it was rushed/unfinished-proven by the Teraleak docs. Z-A was too little, too late.

I’m not really feeling him either tbh. I think he may be the weakest one for me BUT a lot of that is because I’m totally dogged out after Gen 9 which went all out on the Poké-Hounds.

I have a sneaking suspicion (which is corroborated with some voice acting details that surfaced) that we will be returning to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this year in a Definitive Edition -and here’s hoping too since 2 is by far the worst optimized in the series and deserves better despite being divisive

I was only ever to get the DS era distributions at GameStop and stuff. For GBA I had to use an action replay to unlock the tickets. If I ever did use an AR it was just to get the item to unlock the event. I preferred doing the actual work getting to them and catching them.

I’m a little bummed the Grass and Water starters here are repeat species types that we have gotten in the last 10 years or so but I’m hard digging the Water here despite being typically a Grass main on first playthroughs. Excited to see the evolutions chains!

This is absolutely wild and now they have fully opened the gates not only for the other games to come but for their events to also be included.

Super cool to see this for a new generation of players (and us OGs too)
