I’m pleased that I’m not the only person who thought Severn Trent’s bill increase was higher than the widely reported 36%. Water suppliers, again, benefiting from holding a monopoly over the regions they each serve; this needs to change.

The English language has so many different ways to describe somewhere being busy, but the best has got to be “chock-a-block”

British rail travel at its finest: the long concourse wait at London terminals, in position: staring at the departure boards, braced for the fierce rush on announcing the platform - a full 5mins prior to departure. The power of the controller keeping us waiting & releasing that all important number!

If you're given the opportunity today to make someone happy, maybe offer them some encouragement or just help them out, please take it! The world is a challenging place right now, we all need a bit of kindness and compassion, and it change their lives.
