I’m not sure I believe there are such things as tried and tested methods.
Compare to behaviour, blanket approaches don’t work, it has to be child-centric/person-centred etc adapted to the needs.
And teachers cannot do that all day long. We need a change in school/curriculum culture 🤷🏻♂️
Love this, Jasmine
Also think we place too much pressure on inspiring readers in a school day. A love for reading comes from a series of things like relatable material, ability to read, etc. You can’t do much in an already crammed day. 2/2
So is it practitioner led? Because if you have a person who can inspire a love of books then it doesn’t really matter what system they use 🤷🏻♂️ My old teacher did it purely by the way he told a story.
1/2
🤣🤣🤣
I think there’s grounds to argue it’s new to you 🤷🏻♂️
You’re thinking of toast, Cassie.
Depends on how it is done.
But if we move practice out of it, as a concept, earmarking time in the day to read what you want is a good thing.
I’m curious. What are the merits of a behaviour policy solely relying on intrinsic merit with children aged 5 - 11. Seen another behaviour policy today stating no reward system other than verbal praise. 😬
Growth mindset takes time!!!!
I too would like a sociology one please if you figure it out 😂
It does feel very middle aged but it is sooooo worth it!
You can get it on Amazon. It’s sticky tape, if you pull it around under your knee and round you can feel it holding your muscles. I put it on both ankles, my right knee and a strip under my left thigh every run and it keeps me together- feel the knocks less and the injury recovery less.
😂 we tried that once but everything I said was totally unusable for a mainstream audience 🤣
What’s it about?
I use blue tape and it really helps keep everything in place! 😂
My good friend @robertgarnham.bsky.social reminding me I am one of those lucky people to have this rare book in my collection! #folklore
The more people to connect with the better!
Absolutely this!!
Yes! And not all the problems will stay there.
I’m disappointed there’s still the same old constant self-promotion from some people. Old school 🐦 was all about talking to people you didn’t know. I ended up following and was followed by the guy who created crash bandicoot 😂 those were the days!
And why not? This could be your moment.
🤫 don’t tell anyone, but I’m actually one of the stones of Avebury.
Yes, absolutely. I think part of me hopes that the leak is deliberate to test the water and if we are all vocal about what has potential and what doesn’t, then maybe we’ll be listened to… no, wait. Got too optimistic again.
Isn’t there already multiple headings, if we count good declining etc. They’ve already essentially added in a + and - to grading 🤷🏻♂️
If time is taken to make it an accurate descriptor it could improve that aspect at least. (He says optimistically 😂)
It sounds messy and rushed. Don’t hate an increase in descriptors (if done well) but yes - the prep and aftermath on SEF will be brutal.
So pretty.
Ooooo hookland in a starter pack. I remember your conception.
(That sounds creepy)
It’s finding the balance between sharing knowledge and allowing discovery isn’t it?
Do you tell them what you think and then ask their opinion or let them form an idea with no boundaries first. Merits to both I guess 🤷🏻♂️
