Greenock not Glasgow
Greenock not Glasgow
Well said Jack.
Retirement = freedom.
I thought I would struggle. I love it!
A brilliant take down of that blowhard Watt.
Well done.
(His beer is like foxes piss).
LIVE NOW...
I put on the radio this morning and for the first time in a while, put on BBC Radio Scotland. I lasted 2 minutes.
When someone says we are going to build Nuclear to 'protect our energy supply' and you find out it will take 20-25 years and cost 10x as much per Watt as Renewable.
Do you not realize it is a scam? ππ»

Watch again this brilliant interview by John Drummond @benarty.bsky.social on the TNT Show with guests from Energy Scotland. You will definitely learn some great stuff.
In Scotland we call them Red Tories because thatβs what they are.
To please our masters in wm???

Now is the time to become acquainted with the enormous cost and ridiculously long timescales to build new nuclear plant.
Also - don't fall for the Potemkin village and the latest baloney on 'small modular reactors'. They are unicorns - we have heard of them, but no one has ever seen one.
Banner design quoting Labour announcement of plan for large nuclear expansion across England and Wales, and also the text in the post.
Westminsterβs 2018 powergrab of Scottish devolved powers included nuclear waste planning and disposal. I wonder where theyβll want to dump it? Somewhere 'remote', I imagine, with a 'low population'.
No Change just more of the same lies

SARWAR MUST STAY!
I think the SNP, ALBA and Green Parties need to stop fighting and make this THE BIG ISSUE FOR HOLYROOD IN 2026
Wow! The number of @bsky.app users just passed 31 MILLION!π
LETS DO THIS!
Great shout Angus
This issue will really bring proper focus on Labour's priorities which are most definitely not Scotland's priorities.
This has great potential as a topic which can galvanise Scotland's attitude to Labour.
Poster explaining that the Scottish Government can't do more to reduce electricity bills because the key aspects of energy policy - generation and supply - are controlled by Westminster
βWhy canβt the Scottish government do more to reduce energy bills? The answer is that the most important aspects of energy policy β generation and supply β remain reserved to Westminster.β

The other baloney they are spouting is that they have 'learned the lessons' from Hinkley C.
Only idiots don't learn from the last project - but the next project will have it's own expensive set of issues. That is the nature of projects.
If they are so confident, they should reveal the budget.
It's good to see people are tuning into the very real risk posed by Farage's fascists.
Lesley - that is just for the enabling works. Sizewell C is now 76% owned by the UK Government - and therefore all taxpayers are underwriting this Β£45 Billion plan which will do nothing for the government's Net Zero plans.
Pro Indy parties need to take Reform and the Tories head-on on this topic.
More from yesterdayβs film shoot at The Panopticon in Glasgow.
If I was SNP's speechwriter, I'd go with something like.. "You can either have a nice Scottish Gov who provide you with good things & try to make Scotland better, or you can have a nasty British racist coalition, who take everything away, & try to make it as shit as it is in England. Your choice!"
βDonβt feed the trollsβ also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.
They run them bc people react to them the most.
If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.
Itβs not easy and takes constant practice!
