We've seen this before hesitation, denial, and then chaos. The clock is ticking. Will we act in time?
Regarding book bans:
Prohibition only ever leads to demand. Demand leads to sales, because the quickest way to make someone do something is to tell them they can't. Keep your head up and write. Or as the sages say, "Build it, and they will come." By all means, fight, but know we'll outlast this.
So I made the change to lower my screen time by around 2 hours a day by reading a book.
So now instead of doom scrolling endlessly I go read a book and I feel 100x better for it 💛
You should try it, you don't have to read but honestly lowering your screen time is worth it

Just finished THE BRUTALIST and oh boy, what a film. The first half is the greatest cinematic achievement of 2024. The back half is still amazing, yet not quite as strong and it definitely fumbled the very ending.
Still highly recommend! 9/10

Currently chipping away at my first draft of my first novel!! Currently at about 25k words, and I’m aiming for 80-100k; it’s a rom com but influenced by Richard Linklatter-esque character moments rather than traditional beats (though they’re in there too!)
