Our article on perinatal self-injurious thoughts & behaviors is out today! We found that the odds of engaging in self-injurious behavior were 256% higher at 7 months postpartum relative to 3rd trimester of pregnancy, even after accounting for three risk factors. doi.org/10.1111/sltb...
Thrilled to announce that I will be starting at the University of South Carolina this fall in the Clinical-Community PhD program working with Dr. Michelle Brown! We will be studying childhood maltreatment, emotion dysregulation, and interpersonal relationships. So excited to start this journey! 📚🧠
Our new paper is out! We found that changes in maternal emotion dysregulation from pregnancy to 18-months postpartum are nonlinear, and that experiences during pregnancy and childbirth set the stage for postnatal maternal mental health🤰🏼

We found prenatal resting RSA is directly associated with toddler vocab development! Also, postpartum stress mediated the association between prenatal emotion dysregulation and toddler vocab development.
