anyways new years recap. 2025 sucked but was also pretty cool. i played a lot of sound voltex and got pretty good at it, competed at motl, and met a lot of cool people because of it. ive taken a step back from competing in splatoon, but the collegiate community will still always have my heart.

its time for dry January 1st which is where i dont drink for all of january 1st

im getting the full midwest weather experience in one single week while im here it seems

TOs need to unionize and go on strike in response to how this community treats them so people understand that these tournaments are a privilege and not a right and I'm dead serious. I don't think most people realize how much effort it takes to run a good, well-organized tournament

its so bad for my wallet but god im so glad i stuck with sdvx. i have never pushed myself to this high of a level with any game before and its just so crazy to look back on where i used to be even just a year ago

im legitimately getting emotional over this which is a little corny for just eldora but i really cannot believe ive pushed myseld this far with voltex. ive achieved so much this year from going on a crazy run at motl to clearing my first 19s and reaching eldora

mobile gaming feels like such an untapped market nowadays bc it feels like every mobile game now is just a soulless cash and attention grab. mobile games used to have so much sauce and actually took advantage of the platform rather than just being worse versions of existing games

we need to start making mobile games again. the only mobile games that exist now are shitty ports of gacha games that turn your phone into a space heater, literal repetitive slop games that are usually just the same 3 games reskinned, and balatro
