Peace be with you. πŸ™

😌 That was a close one.

🚨 Manchester United have been informed that Trabzonspor are not willing to pay the club's valuation of £40M for Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.

He left himself down by being wed to that 3 at the back that he wanted to play. Played players outside their beat natural position, and wondered why they didn't perform.
I'm sure most of them were glad to see him gone.

I don't really care now, Amorim is gone and the players seem to be doing just fine under Carrick in the system he's playing.

Probably a good thing, your love of kebabs may have sparked the desire for a drink.

The US is still too interested in fossil fuel investment. Oil barrel prices are in dollars for a reason. πŸ™‚
Remember Trump's first campaign manifesto promise? "I'll open the coal mines again".

It sounds from the way they wanted asylum that there's a lot of oppression against women from the current regime in Iran, doesn't it?

There's a lot of fundamental religion in the US. Years ago the Republican party jumped on that to win votes. They sold a story that the Dems would close their churches, and so became the party of the churches. Now they use that, and the evangelists are powerful, anti abortion, and old testament BS.

09.03.2026 17:32 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah it's a strange system in the US. Collegiate vote and all the BS that can win an election without the overall voters.
Trump only won by 1% and only 60 (something)% of the voters actually turned out to vote. Harris didn't do badly but apathy let her down.
The figures are all out there

Agreed πŸ’―.
My Dad's a Newcastle fan, my Mum was a red, and until I was five I wasn't sure which team I followed, and then my Uncle and Dad took me to a Newcastle Vs United match.
Been a Red ever since.

JFC.
I didn't say it wasn't the fault of the US adminstration, it is.
The US love getting involved in foreign wars, as you say, it's who they are.
What I'm saying, which you don't agree with, is that's it's not the fault of the entire US public, and the entire population isn't in favour of it.

09.03.2026 06:09 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 3 πŸ“Œ 0

No Marit, I'm telling you that you don't like it when someone disagrees with you, that's a fact. You never do.

I think we all knew. He tried it with the tariffs idea.

It wouldn't hurt to just listen to a different perspective once in awhile. Just because I think you're blaming the entire American public for the world problems, doesn't mean I don't know anything about what happens inside the US.
Pointless me saying anything when you have earplugs in.
