Nearly 20 years ago, the #MeToo movement began, DEI programs were on the rise, horrible people were being canceled, and progressiveness was growing. Fast forward to now, it feels like all of that has vanished. Why do you think these movements disappeared as quickly as they started?

I’m torn. Part of me wants the country to thrive and avoid chaos, but the petty side of me hopes things fall apart just so I can say, ‘I told you so.’ It’s a frustrating mix—wanting the best while also craving that satisfaction. I’m trying to focus on what really matters, but it’s not easy.

What’s something that felt like a luxury or was too expensive when you were a kid that you still haven’t done as an adult? For me, it’s skiing and golf. Always felt out of reach for us growing up. One thing that bugs me about some “woke” white progressives is how they’re all about the “cause,” but you never actually see them hanging out with any POC friends. I swear, Seinfeld had more diversity in its friend group!

College sports are changing fast with NIL, but let’s be real, revenue sharing isn’t going to do much to help with NIL. Schools with big boosters have the edge, and we’re not there yet. It could be a tough road for our program until things settle down. Revenue sharing and NIL are two separate things.

They’re pretty much 3 star guys now they didn’t really perform well at the other schools. The real loss might be Clegg. These other guys aren’t needle pushers.

Tanuvasa was a solid player, but I don’t think his departure is a big loss. It’s interesting how BYU has loosened up with the honor code—even the grooming standards feel more laid-back. Interestingly, a former player now heads the honor code department.
