Capcom Top 10 is nearing completion but before that drops, I’ve wanted to bring the 1cc back. The last weekend of March 3/28 and 3/29, we’re getting the triumphant return of The 1cc. Final playtime for Dragon Quest 7 reimagined: 62 hours. Not a massive 100+ hour epic like DQ 8 or DQ 11 but still a really fun fantasy story. Not very difficult either. Only died maybe three times throughout the playthrough. Definitely a great game for anyone new to DQ.

For context: both Street Fighter 2 and Super Mario RPG dropped today in the States 35 and 30 years ago respectively (SF2: March 9th 1991) (Mario RPG: March 9th 1996).

I feel like it’s something very fantastical that my gateway fighting game and my gateway JRPG share an anniversary.

For my character action heads and indie game appreciators, check out Homura Hime. I played through first two hours of the game and DAMN it’s fun. Interesting marriage of hack and slash and bullet hell gameplay.
