Writing my comment: People should be able to use their currency for any legal purpose. The reality of our world is that we depend on a system which centralizes power on a few institutions to live our lives. Allowing these institutions to make moral judgements about how we can use our currency - beyond simply allowing any legal use - gives them an unjust power to control and limit people's speech and expression.
