I could guess who didn't write this article by the unflattering title.
I guess I assumed it was because he wrote about poor, white Southerners in an artsy way, which I guess nobody with his connections had tried doing before? Maybe because everyone was so blown away with a chapter being "My mother is a fish." Nobody had ever written such a short chapter before.
