Hello! Just a clarifying question, I saw the window closes 12 pm edt on the 15th and just wanted make sure I understood, that means it would close 9am PST?
To try with this book anyways, I am curious, is it because series take more time to plan out and line up and with the time constraints of RevPit it makes something like that unfeasible? In any case, thank you again for your answer and your time doing this event to help authors get published.
Absolutely no problem! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions! I did just reread your MSWL and saw you’re pickier about non-standalone books(how I missed that on my first read will be a question I ask for a long time) and while I still plan-
AMC's version of IWTV, I haven't been able to get my hands on a print copy or make it through the waitlist on Libby yet, for the romance between messy queer people. Still trying to find better comps as those are all fairly old.
Still working on a list and reading a few books, but so far Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat on the power imbalance/world change angle, Huxley's Brave New World for a place where people live in and embrace the dystopia, and-

Ah, I can understand that, it is a quick timeline for sure for anything that long. I have, like i mentioned a dark romance, but its also a poly mlm dystopian scifi as well, so its doing a lot in the 120k its working with, but it is long. Thank you for your time and honesty! I appreciate it greatly!
Good morning #RevPit! I’m here for my #MeettheEditor session 💃
About me: I’m a writer, editor, and associate literary agent at Storm Literary Agency.
I’m also a cozy gamer, beginner crocheter, and rarely have the same color hair week to week
Thank you for your time, and your crochet projects are adorable. I have a friend who just started getting into it as well, and I keep the fat chicken she made for me ontop of my desk so the little frog was something she'd probably love to make too.
and I've managed to carve it from being nearly 130k to being around 120k as i round off revisions/edits once more, and wanted to know your approach to stories that length? I know its at the boundaries of appropriate length, but for RevPit is that too long to be considered at this moment for you?
Hello! Forgive me for jumping right in. I was reading your MSWL and have something that might be of interest for RevPit, its a poly mlm dark-ish romance in a SciFi dystopia that has some sociopolitics, but its fairly grounded Scifi almost leaning fantasy,
Welcome to my 😃 #RevPit #MeetTheEditor session. I'm a #RevPit Board Member & this is my 7 year with #RevPit ✨

And what sort of an approach do you take with stories that are a bit longer than expected genre length? I know you didn't mention it in your MSWL but is there a WC limit on your end for a story?
Thank you again for your time.
Hello! First, thank you for the time you'll be putting in for RevPit and helping an author get as prepared as possible for publishing.
My question is if you'd accept dark, although I am calling it grey, romance as part of your romance list? -
Good morning #writingcommunity! (It is still morning, right?)
Welcome to my #RevPit #MeettheEditor thread!
Please feel free to ask me questions about what I'm reading, how I edit, my #MSWL or any other questions you might have.
Hi, #RevPit crew!! Happy Wednesday and hope you're having an awesome day 🎉 Super excited to back again for another season of RevPit!
Let's get my #MeetTheEditor session started! Drop any questions you might have below, and I'll also attach an intro thread ☺️🧵

Hello! Wanted to ask how you'd feel about poly Scifi Dystopian MlM 'dark' ish romance? Its got a decent amount of elements and is probably going to be around 120K as I round off my edits, but is that something a bit too long for you or the genre, or something you'd be interested in seeing in RevPit?
So I am learning, I was a fanfiction writer for years, like 2015-2023, and while it helped me find my voice, I've had to unlearn a lot of bad habits, but the hardest to kick is being so indulgent with every sentence. I get better at it the more I write and practice though. Sorry to ramble, ty again!
But still wanna try, since I did manage to cut it from its absurd length of 125k words for the first 15 chapters to where it is now. Thank you again for your time, advice, and for you giving your time in RevPit to help authors get into publishing.
I understand what you're saying, and appreciate the craft book recommendation. I'll definitely pick it up!
And thank you for the clarification. I know mine is on the long side, and so if I didn't 'win' I wouldn't take it personally, since the length is probably the hardest sell-
I still can't help but feel my Manuscript, its a Poly 'Dark'(I'd say grey) Romance, MxM in a Scifi/fantasy dystopia is too long, as its nearly 120k as i work it one last time before revpit. I can't find places to cut anymore, and I worry the length will make it hard to find agents or publishers.
Hello! I'm sorry to hear about your computer issue, that is insane and very good to know it can happen.
I guess my biggest question is how good are you at helping consolidate manuscripts. I know SciFi and Fantasy get more leeway with wordcounts, but-
That makes complete sense. Especially considering you work with a lot of 140K manuscripts, here I thought mine was long as it approaches 120k. Thank you so much for your time answering, and spending your time to do this event!
A boy escapes a mutant hostile mob, climbs an illegal maintenance ladder into a wealthier part of the city and runs into a boy who, unbelievably, is flirting with him and means it.
Thank you for sticking with me this long and see you online during #RevPit Season!
Here's where I grovel and beg for authors to submit to me - Pick ME!! 😘
I'll be checking this thread for any #MeetTheEditor questions throughout the week
Sounds good! There isn't much violence until late in the book, and even then its not graphic or lingering, since I prefer internal character work.
Its more Sci-fi Cyberpunk, but with a mild twist on aesthetic, but not very space Sci-Fi.
Well thank you for your time I appreciate it!

Hello, #RevPit writers! It’s time for my #MeetTheEditor thread 💖
This is my second year as an editor with RevPit, and I’m so glad to be back. I'm eagerly awaiting your submissions.
Got questions about my MSWL or editing process before you submit? Now’s the time to ask!

Hello! I'm just curious, not trying to come off poorly, about the how and why the 110k limit, if its due to industry trends or a way to ensure a manuscript is already lean by the time you get to it?
