today reminded me that i'm a very good teacher & that 8:30 am is just hard for everyone. in my gen ed class, we're doing "Anything But Country" & by the end they were INTO it. at one point i asked what genres they would never listen to & one student whispered "she wants you to say country!" 😂

i can’t watch PSYCHO on my tv without renting it (my students are watching for free through UF) so instead i’m watching THE GIRL, a movie i love that unsettles me to the core

why yes, i'd love to spend my evening vacuuming up 16 gallons of water that has flooded the first floor of my townhouse because my downstairs toilet (& kitchen sink) backed up, somehow? i've gotten most of it up but i still have to clean & i needed to stop & eat dinner…cause that's how i found out 😖

this is the worst time of year for me seasonal allergy-wise because the air is dry AND things are blooming. so i’ve just been sitting in bed waiting for my allergy meds to fully take effect…& i think they just did
