Framing stuff for my last 2 shows of 2025. Riverwalk will be at Craignair in Spruce Head, Maine. (🥂opening 11/19.)

I love this beautiful custom frame, but I think I’ll cut a roomier mat window to show the signature line, or float mount to show the deckled edges?

Today I get to paint though. And later a fall foliage hike.

I was down for a full 36 hours with my c*vid shot, once again. Fever, chills, mostly sleeping. I keep hoping it will be easier each time, but it isn’t. Still worth it though. I’ve had c*vid once and it was mild. As someone with genetic kidney disease I can’t risk it. (Get it while you still can.)

I love Maine deeply and it took us about 20 years to figure out how to get here. I intend to live here for the remainder of my days.

But also: Right now I fantasize daily about leaving the US

The longer they stall, the longer they keep collecting monthly premiums. Once they start paying claims, she no longer pays in.

She’s paid into this policy for decades. It’s “great” coverage.

They’d just prefer she not use her own $. Could she handle all this bs herself? No. & that’s the point.

LTC insurer’s new game is “crediting” days we’ve paid out of pocket as elimination days, processing them before the elimination days I documented for them to count.

This stalling is tactic called “the drag.”

But I don’t quit & I keep tight notes, so you might as well just pay my momma now.

Between 30 and 42% of Mainers have used absentee ballots in recent elections. (Which is why this *already secure* option is being threatened with scaremonger language & utterly ridic “I was mailed a box of ballots by mistake” story.

Right? Credit the author and tag the press and it’s all good. I can’t think of any small press that doesn’t 💛 this. It’s the opposite of copyright infringement—it’s word of mouth publicity and there’s nothing better! ✨
