The page uses unconventional paneling, merging the moments together to create a contorted and inescapable rendition of this horrifying moment.

Another one of my fave pages from my comic Little Red Heart. Having been a storyboard artist originally, I feel like this is the first page I really took advantage of the unconventional staging that's possible in comics!

An aquatic humanoid creature stands hunched over itself in a bathtub surrounded by shower curtains. It’s limbs are lean and bony, hands clutching at the side of the tub and the side of the shower curtain as it climbs -one foot forward- out of the tub. Its damp hair spills over its shoulders and sharp dorsal fin cuts down its rounded spine. Behind where the creature is stepping out of the tub- is a smaller similar creature cowering behind the other shower curtain. I’ve done the base outline of the drawing in ink, the blue pencil lines still visible underneath. The hair and back shower curtains are now shaded with hatching.
